Today we have Tracey Fox a.k.a. @scrappylikeafox on the podcast! Tracey is a self-proclaimed scrapbookin’ feminist nerd living in central Ohio. She is a former middle school band director, has a master’s degree in Women’s Studies, and currently works as a fundraising data analyst at a large university. She still doesn’t know what she wants to be when she grows up, but scrapbooking is the one pursuit that has remained constant in her life.
After deciding to dive deeper into the online crafty community and start saying “yes” to opportunities to connect with other creatives, Tracey found a whole new level of love for scrapbooking and its power to unite women in documenting their experiences, perspectives, and intentions through craftiness. Tracey is the host of the Scrappy Like a Fox Facebook group and the #scrappychristmasinjuly and #scrappytrendwatch initiatives online. She is also the creator of the printable scrapbooking-themed party game Scraps Incite Calamity!
Tracey Fox starts off by telling A + K the origin story of how @scrappylikeafox came to be - including the time before smart phones when she used to carry around a point-and-shoot camera. (Been there. Done that.) The girls then go into what it means to be on the cusp of the millennial generation and
Tracey then shares her thoughts and approach to scrapbooking and why 12x12 pages are her JAM! She talks about her TREND WATCH series and celebrating other’s creative content.
